Texas Tech Hockey Club has faced major challenges over the last couple of seasons just to remain an active organization. Aside from losing ice facilities in Lubbock halfway through last season, the team was left with the task of finding a new coaching staff to lead them for the 2009-2010 season. The team is doing its best to keep the organization alive and players have had to step up and accept managerial positions to organize and run the team. Despite all the challenges being faced this season, Texas Tech is hoping that their commitment and diligence will help them to remain a competitive team in the collegiate hockey league. Even more importantly, the team is praying for a miracle in the way of community support to find a way to return an ice rink to Lubbock. An ice rink in Lubbock would not just mean that the team would benefit, but the entire community would have the chance to benefit by having ice skating available year round. Tech Hockey is hoping more supporters of the idea will step up and try to help make it a reality once again in Lubbock. If you have an interest in helping the Texas Tech Hockey Club, please visit our sponsor page for more information. Texas Tech Hockey would like to thank all supporters of their program.
